Braving winds to boost woods  

 

Friday, 20 March 2009   

IN spite of bitter winds, there was a good turnout of supporters at Alston on Saturday for a community tree planting event.

Families gathered at the town golf course to plant whip-sized trees which will grow to help with native tree woodland regeneration.
